About

Ahoy there and thanks for visiting my weblog.

I’m Mark Allen, and I use this blog to put up the reviews I write mainly for my student paper, of which I am the Music Editor. The Stag is published at the University of Surrey bi-weekly, and available to all students. Having only started in November 2008, I’m just getting used to this review malarky, so be kind. Also, my style is not flowery or anything, i just say it like it is, and really don’t like the whole flowery nonsense as a whole. I have also written a lot for Chasing Safety (www.chasingsafety.co.uk) and JackWillsUnsigned (www.jwunsigned.com) recently, which are both great online Zines.

Feel free to quote or take anything from these reviews, I want bands to use these in what ever way they want.

Just make sure you credit it as from me, Mark Allen. If you think there is anything that I would enjoy listening to and reviewing, feel free to drop me an email, I’m usually more than happy to write one.

The title is in reference to one of the worst lyrics ever used in music, by Eoghan Quigg called 28000 Friends…it is a terrible song.

Check out my Last.fm profile for an idea of the kind of music I like…http://www.last.fm/user/mrko5
